Going beyond the tiny square
Something I pride myself on is making sure that my IG feed is more than an illusion.
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love to style shots (and have to sometimes for work) and I enjoy taking pictures and editing so much! One of my passions in life.
But I also try to make sure that I am as real as possible in my tiny space on the internet. Ahem-just check out some of my smart ass captions if you don’t believe me.
I am many things-but rainbows and butterflies every day-is just not me.
You may see light, bright and airy shots…and while my home may truly be that way at times, what you don’t see is the laundry that is piled on top of the washer (great place for it, no?), or that I have spent the last 2 hours being nothing more than a referee because the boys decided they weren’t going to be best friends that day.
You may see a selfie where I look happy and full of energy.
What you don’t know is it may have been taken 5 days ago and the day that I am posting has been an awful day for my anxiety. One where the rituals and overwhelming need to clean and schedule and plan have consumed me.
I have such big plans for Pumpkin & Gray.
But one of my top priorities is to always be myself. To keep this area and my feed a true representation of my life.
I am so grateful for each and every one of you! So thankful to have your friendship, so thankful that you follow along. So appreciative of the fact that I can have a platform to be a place of honesty and realness.
So cheers to us. Not just what we post, but all of who we truly are.
