What's in my bag: The Big Apple Edition

Hi beauties! Well, were off to NYC.

There's truly just something about New York City. The vibe, the people, the buildings, the diversity, and most importantly, the energy! Those are things that you find there year-round,  however I'm particularly obsessed with New York City around Christmas time. The decorated storefronts, the Christmas tree, the ice skaters, the shopping and the food!

 I usually go for a leisurely day trip at least once a year, whether it's with my mom or my hubby. This year we get to go with one of my best friends and her hubby!

Double date NYC style. 

As much as I'd like to be able to take a tiny clutch with me around the city, there's just way too much to pack...let's be honest.

What we wore, where we went, what we did and what we ate!

 Without further ado, here's what's in the bag: 

First up, every must have for the anxious traveler! This little Johnson & Johnson first aid kit is the BEST. It is small and combat (tinier than my phone) so its perfect for throwing in your bag without taking up much room. It comes with everything you see pictured *except the Dramamine and Midol. 

The pack comes with some wiggle room so I was able to add those in and close it without any issues. I just love feeling prepared for the what if's.

Next up: Well, you knew I would have some makeup in the mix. I love to pack my favorite drug store products when traveling that way if anything gets lost you know it was only the affordable things!

No one wants to leave Lorac and Too Faced behind in NYC!

I will be getting ready VERY early in the morning so I knew I wanted to have concealer and touch-up powder on hand. The Better Than Skin collection by Maybelline are some of my favorites.

I also knew I wanted a bold lip and a liquid lipstick so that I don't have to worry about touch-ups or reapplying too often...no time for that when there is a city to see!

ColourPops Notion was the winning shade for this trip. 

And finally, Chapstick, because I am totally obsessed and refuse to leave the house without. Especially with a drying lip on!

Umm, self explanitory, right?

I want to smell yummy, feel fresh and not be squinting the entire day.

Side note: this Pear & Brown Sugar spray from Bath & Body Works is AMAZING.

Also: the shades are Oscar de la Renta and a random Marshalls STEAL.

Lastly, my favorite peppermint gum, because this time of the year I need peppermint at all times. Sanitizer because well, its a city.

Water for the walking.

And the best power bar, because we all know I will be taking LOTS of pictures. Traveling with a power bar is a must for me. Not only will I be using my phone during the day, but I will want a charged phone for the bus ride home!

*Tip: if you are taking a bus trip like me, make sure you call ahead and see if you can leave blankets and pillows on the bus. If so I highly recommend bringing some. Once you are finally back on the bus you will want nothing more than to cozy up and get rest after all of that walking.

I will be bring a faux fur throw with me.
