Little Full, Lotta Sap

-You will get a sentimental feeling-

For me and my family, the Christmas tree brings Christmas alive. It's the first thing we do after Thanksgiving. It's excitement, it's the feeling we get when we gaze at the lights at night, the special ornaments, the memories we make centered around it and the smell...sorry, pine obsessed over here. No- truly. We hang those pine scented ornaments on our live tree while burning pine candles. Guilty

Each year we go to the same Christmas tree farm to pick out the CHUNKIEST tree we can find. I use that word every year to describe my tree perfection. Doesn't have to be the tallest tree in the row but I want it to be the most adorable, round, chunky thing.

*The hunt is on*

I try to make it such a memorable day for our family. After all, the little things are what stick. It's what your children will look back on and smile about. It's what they will hopefully pass down to their future families.

Christmas music is playing on the radio when driving there, we bring hot cocoa in mugs for everyone in the car and then when we get there we ENJOY it. We take our time. The boys run wild and ooh and ahh. We take pictures, we go inside and shop around for the perfect treat to bring home and eat while decorating and we find our tree perfection.

The energy is always electric and the little babes are ready to get home, put a Christmas movie on, get in Christmas pjs and decorate our tree together.

Take the time, make the memories, feel nostalgic.

Its what Christmas is all about.

(That and I cannot wait to snuggle up on the couch with a glass of wine and have that gorgeous view! Wine just tastes better in front of a tree, am I right?)
